Coryell County 4-H held a fashion show event at Hillside Medical Lodge on Tuesday, March 25, for members in kindergarten through 12th grade.
The fashion show is designed to showcase 4-H members and their skills and to prepare them for future competitions in buying and construction.
Each participant of the fashion show must create a clothing or fashion item, turn in paperwork explaining their item, complete an interview with a panel of judges, and model the outfit on the runway.
Local youth in 4-H compete at the county level each year, earning members a spot to represent Coryell County at the District 8 contest in April. Members in high school can advance to the state contest in June if qualified.
The Clover Kids were also present at the event to walk down the runway in order to gain confidence while learning about how to be a good consumer.
Categories for the fashion show included Everyday Living, Special Interest, Semiformal/Formal, Fantastic Fashions under $25, Refashion, Theatre/Costume, Dressy, Business/Interview Attire, and Fashion Storyboard.
