Gatesville Independent School District’s Christmas on Marshall Street. event will make its annual appearance on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the corner of Marshall Street and Hornet Way.
The event will feature food, crafts, jewelry, Santa, kids’ activities, handcrafted items, gifts, and more.
Christmas on Marshall Street will host its inaugural weenie dog race at 11 a.m. If interested in participating, meet at the old tennis courts. The registration fee will be $5 per dog. All dogs must be on a leash and be well-behaved. All proceeds from the races will benefit the Community Outreach Programs of Gatesville ISD.
There will also be a “Deck the Paws” dog costume parade at noon. There is no entry fee, and it is open to all Christmas canines. There will be prizes awarded to first, second, and third place. Be sure to reserve your spot in the parade by emailing Michelle Martin at mmartin@gatesvilleisd.org.
