Carole’s Fruit Cake

1 lb. shelled pecan halves ½ lb. candied cherries
1 lb. dates ½ lb. candied pineapple
1 c. flour 2 T. baking powder
1 c. sugar 4 eggs
dash of salt 1 lid vanilla flavoring
Sift flour, salt, and baking powder together. Sift flour mixture over fruits and nuts and work thoroughly. Beat eggs, sugar, and vanilla and pour over fruit and mix well. Pack into a brown paper lined tube pan and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes at 325. Decorate the top with cherries and pecans.
