On Thursday, April 3, the Coryell County Sheriff’s Office recognized the Gatesville Care Center and its director, Deral McWhorter, for their selfless actions.
McWhorter was contacted about young individuals seeking to remove themselves from difficult circumstances, and without question, McWhorter stepped in to assist through the Care Center.
After learning of McWhorter and the Care Center’s contributions, on behalf of the Coryell County Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Scott Williams presented McWhorter with a plaque to honor him for his commitment to the Coryell County community.
The Gatesville Care Center is open on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is located at 105 North 7th Street.
