Coryell County 4-H range science project group members, parents, and volunteers provided leadership to host the sixth annual MJ Hanna Ranch Invitational Plant ID and Range Evaluation contests.
4-H range science members competed in the contest against surrounding counties in the area, including Milam, Callahan, Stephens, Kerr, and Crockett counties.
The senior range evaluation team received first place, and Marcy Conley earned a High Individual Scholarship in the range contest as well.
The contest aims to teach 4-H members about the principles of rangeland management, range evaluation, and plant identification to further their knowledge in range science.
