Hornet head coach
Brit Campbell steps into the role as the Gatesville boys’ head basketball coach. Campbell learned the game while playing and working under his father, Ken Campbell, in Big Lake. Brit Campbell is a graduate of both Reagan County High School and Howard Payne University.

Final high school throws
With the state Capitol in the background, Keegan Coble gets ready to throw the shot put. She’ll be back at state Friday for the discus and shot put events. She finished second last year as a junior in the discus. Rival Zoe Burleson of Rocksprings is the main competitor for Coble.
Keegan Coble’s goal of draping a gold medal around her neck is just a few hours away.
