The Gatesville Recreation League coed softball team sponsored by Mid-Tex Plumbing won the fall league championship.
The 20-1 Gatesville varsity girls team won the Jarrell tournament over the weekend, with a win over Canton in the championship game Saturday afternoon, 38-26.
The battle for the state championship goes through Jerry World.
The Jonesboro Eagles travel to Arlington today (Wednesday) in search of the school’s first state football championship.
