Gatesville basketball dribbling drills bring out fun in boys camp

Summer time is busy for some athletes with camp in several sports. “I’ll be at tennis next week,’’ said Jaxon Shepherd, who has been at baseball and basketball camps already. At Monday’s first day of camp for elementary grade grade students, they worked on ballhandling and shooting basics. After an hour on the court, they ran a drill where fi ve-man teams go head to head in a speed dribble drill. They had a blast with the speed of the drill and the excitement of cheering their teammates. The camp will conclude Thursday. There were 45 kids reporting for the fi rst day. Coach Brit Campbell said he was pleased with the turnout and he said the main focus is to learn basic skills and have fun..
