Lampasas runs past Gatesville
Gatesville played some of its best basketball in the first half of its season finale with the Lampasas Badgers Tuesday.
But the hot shooting Hornets couldn’t maintain their solid play in the second half and fell for the eighth straight time in District 6-4A action.
Lampasas earned a 74-52 win and has wrapped up a playoff spot with one game left on its schedule.
“We were playing well, doing the things we are good at with our defense and our offense,” coach Britt Campbell said. “We made some shots and played with a lot of confidence. After halftime they started playing faster and made a lot of shots and we didn’t.”
