Lady Hornets to face Iowa Park

The Gatesville Lady Hornets (7-15) open the Class 4A basketball playoffs Thursday in a 7 p.m. tipoff against the Iowa Park Hawks at Joshua High School.
Gatesville, the third seed from District 6-4A, catches a Iowa Park Squad that has posted an 18-7 record. The Hawks were runnerup in their district behind Graham.
Iowa Park is coming off a 39-37 win over Burkburnett. The Hornets Feature five seniors in their starting lineup. The scoring punch for the Lady Hornets comes from Allaiya Jones. Jones has provided a good option on penetrating moves through the lane.
