Allaiya Jones said she’s taken advantage of her quarantine time.

“I’m just trying to finalize school responsibilities,’’ said the Hornet veteran basketball player, who was one of the top scorers on this years’ regional quarterfinal team. “I’ve been working out and spending a lot of quality time with my family.’’

Jones said during the first stages of the shutdown with the coronavirus, she was able to spend time with her older sister, who now plays at Mary Hardin-Baylor.

“At first she came home and that was nice,’’ Jones said. “She’s back in Belton now.’’

Jones said she’s concentrated on drills she can do at home. Part of her routine is picking up drills on Zoom, a video instruction online.
