Hornets shut out by Badgers
The Gatesville Hornets scratched out two hits Tuesday night in the second meeting against Lampasas standout pitcher Ace Whitehead this season.
The Hornets fell behind early in the District 6-4A contest and lost, 5-0, to the hard-throwing lefty.
The Hornets had an infield hit from outfielder Parker Allman in the sixth inning and a solid hit by Cayden Mata in the second inning as the only hits off Whitehead.
The University of Texas signee fanned 13 Hornets, mainly sticking with a challenging fastball.
