Jordan Morse said she is amazed at the growth of pole vaulting.

Last weekend, she vaulted 11-feet, 10-inches for a new personal best at a meet at the Belton Expo Center. Her effort qualified her for a national meet in New York in March.

“It’s amazing how much it has grown,’’ she said. “It just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I feel blessed to compete in it.’’ The Gatesville vaulter said she is in full swing, trying to build momentum to get better.
