GHS golfers open play at Glen Rose
The Gatesville Hornets played well on the front nine to open the first round of District 6-4A play at Squaw Valley Golf Club in Glen Rose Monday.
“They all came in pretty good,” Gatesville coach Guy Dean said. “The back nine is harder so we’ll see. They are battling.”
The Hornets are among the favorites to advance to regional.
Gatesville will play its second round of the District 6-4A tournament April 5 at the Gatesville Country Club. The Hornets are trying to make a big run in the playoffs.
The top two teams advance to regional.
In a warm-up for district, the Hornets tied for fifth at last week’s Glen Rose Tournament.
