Gatesville High Hall of Fame grows

The Gatesville Athletics Hall of Fame gained three individuals and one team during its annual banquet held Saturday night at the Gatesville Civic Center.

A large audience attended the event, which each year recognizes outstanding Gatesville High School athletes, coaches and teams. The Class of 2020 inductees include:

Billy Ray Anderson (deceased): Multi-sport athlete at GHS from 1948-51, later played college football and basketball at McMurry University. He enjoyed a long career in education as a coach and administrator.

Mike Fisher: Multi-sport standout at GHS from 1972-75, earning 16 varsity letters in football, basketball, baseball and track. Fisher played football for Baylor University and later had a stint in the NFL. He enjoyed a successful coaching career and is recently retired.
