Gallegos’ Eagles earn No. 100
Keith Sanders had a big game, utilizing his speed to collect 15 tackles for the night. The defensive end for Jonesboro was simply following the game plan in Jonesboro’s 100th victory in Eddie Gallegos’ 10 years at Jonesboro High School.
“I was just doing what coach told us to do,’’ said Sanders after a big night, running into bigger players all night in Friday’s battle between Jonesboro and Zephyr at Pruitt Field. The battle was a classic, including big plays after big plays from both sides before settling for a 86-78 decision in double overtime on a crisp night in Central Texas. Jonesboro is now 100-22 under Gallegos and primed for another playoff run.
