Perry Price, age 88, of Gatesville, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at his home.
Private family services will be held at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, with Naval military honors.
Perry Dean Price was born on March 31, 1934, in the Ewing community of Coryell County, now part of Ft. Hood. He joined the Navy at the age of 17 and honorably served four years during the Korean War, being discharged in 1955. He married Janice Loretta Herzog on November 15, 1958. After their marriage, they resided in Houston where they raised their family. They owned and operated Price Painting Company until their retirement. They moved back to Gatesville, moving into the home that they built on Coryell Creek. Shortly thereafter, they planted the pecan orchard on Golf Course Road in Gatesville that they lovingly cared for.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gladys Beaty Price; brothers, Bill Price, Wayne Price; sisters, Eva Cook, Ponice Smith, Doris Phillips.
Perry is survived by his wife of 63 years, "Niecie" Janice Price; children, Deanna, Richard and Laura, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
