M. C. “Boy” Lam
Milton Collins “Boy” Lam, age 90, of Flat, passed away on April 7, 2019, at a local nursing home.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., today, (Saturday) April 13, 2019, at Scott’s Funeral Home Chapel.
Boy was born on Dec. 22, 1928, in Mound, to the late Mat and Lillie Dyson Lam. He grew up in a tight-knit family surrounded by cousins in Mound. He attended school in Mound and Gatesville. After high school, Boy went to work in the panhandle with other family members. He later joined the U.S. Army, getting stationed in occupied Germany, where he served as a medic. After his service, he returned to Mound where he would join his family in the construction business. Boy had a love for animals, from his mules and horses to his coon dogs and game roosters. He will be missed by the many that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughte, Lillie Kathryn; and sister, Freda Lam
Boy is survived by his many cousins, nieces and nephews.
