Juanita Bodden, age 82, of Mound, passed away on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, in Waco.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at White Mound Baptist Church, with Rev. Bruce Cox officiating. Burial followed at Mound Cemetery.
Juanita was born on Nov. 10, 1938, in the Pulltight community, near Mound, to the late Joseph and Willie Mars Pruett. She grew up in Mound and went to school there and in Flat. She married Dan Bodden and he preceded her in death in 1990. She has resided in the Mound community most of her life. She worked as a waitress at Dyers Restaurant, Davidson Upholstery and owned and operated Mound Grocery Store and Snack Bar. She was a member of White Mound Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Wayne “PeeWee” Neuman; and siblings, Bill Pruett, Lena Mae Taylor, Robert Pruett and William Pruett.
Juanita is survived by her children, Jimmy Argabright and wife, Patsy, Billy Joe Argabright, Sissy Leonard and husband, Ed, Mistie Neuman Madrid and husband, Jessie; numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildrengrandchildren, great, great-and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family has designated memorials be made to Mound Cemetery Assn., P.O. Box 177, Mound, TX 76558.
