Eagles find success on hill
The Jonesboro Eagles start every practice with some work on the fundamentals. Tuesday, they did stretching, going through track hurdles, then lined up for hitting in the chute, a welded frame that forces players to get low and work on leverage.
It wasn’t on the field. It was on the side of the hill overlooking Pruitt Field. Dust went flying as players squared off.
“We’re trying to save the field,’’ said junior quarterback-cornerback Ethan Lilljedahl. “We’re always working on fundamentals. Coach is big on that. He’s a really good coach that makes it fun and makes you work.’
