Stolen property recovered
Well over $100,000 worth of stolen property has been recovered and more could still be coming, according to a spokesman for the Coryell County Sheriff’s Office.
Two local residents have been arrested in connection with the case and both face multiple charges from at least three counties.
As of Thursday morning, Billy Tate Shoaf, 35, was charged with two counts of burglary of a building and two counts of burglary of a habitation. In addition, he was being held on a warrant from Bosque County for theft of property over $1,500 and under $20,000.
Ashley Nicole Mitchell, 24, had charges of theft of property over $2,500 and under $30,000 and possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1 over 1 gram and less than 4 grams. She also is being held on a warrant from Bosque County for theft of property over $1,500 and under $20,000.
