Curtis Bushong, 49, of Oswego, KS, died unexpectedly at his home early Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Oswego. Mr. Bushong was born Aug. 30, 1967, in Houston to Morris Bushong Sr. and Betty Joyce (Scott) Bushong. As a young boy, he grew up in Houston where he attended school. Through the years, he worked as a farmer and truck driver. In 2007, he moved to Oswego where he had lived since. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Oswego. He and Angela S. Phillips were married Dec. 10, 2010, at the First Southern Baptist Church in Oswego. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Hadley Bushong. Survivors include his wife, of the home; two sons, Cody Bushong of the home and Michael Bushong of Gatesville; one daughter, Amber Bushong, serving in the United States Air Force in Korea; one stepdaughter, Alexandria Ezell of Oswego, KS; two grandchildren; three brothers, Morris Bushong of Chetopa, KS, Darrell Bushong of Sweeny and Jimmy Bushong of Gatesville; and one sister, Kathy Seward of Gatesville.
