Three-day total far exceeds pace of last presidential election
As expected, the turnout has been heavy during the first few days of early voting. At the close of Wednesday, 4,704 people had already cast their ballots for the Nov. 8 general election. Another 888 ballots had been received by mail for a total of 5,592 votes. The first three days have already surpassed the first full week of early voting from the 2012 presidential election. That year, there were almost 3,000 votes cast in the first three days and 5,444 in the first week.
