There’s new sheriff’s cars in town
The Coryell County Sherrif’s Office recently had a fleet of 2018 Dodge Defender Chargers delivered to the department. The six vehicles were paid for by the CCSO and include howlers (which emit loud grumbling sounds) for the hearing impaired/assisting in clearing intersections, bright LED lights and the ability to better execute vehicle pursuits. Previously, the department had Ford F150 trucks that were “sparsley equipped,” according to Sheriff Scott Williams, and the Charges are $4,000 cheaper per unit than the trucks.
