There’s an elf on the loose!

Gatesville hit by holiday cheer

Gatesville residents may have noticed a flurry of holiday mischief recently at local businesses in town.

An elf, said to go by the name of Leon, has been making uninvited appearances around the city, much to the amusement of Gatesville merchants and business owners.

On Nov. 9, Convention and Visitors Bureau Director Cheri Shepherd stated that a number of city employees had reported unexplained sightings of a small elf in and around Faunt Le Roy Park and along Leon Street where Christmas light displays were being installed.
