Student and Staff Spotlight

At a recent GISD school board meeting, two individuals were recognized for their continuous contributions to the school.

Student Spotlight

Adeline Carpenter was recently in the “Student Spotlight” at a recent school board meeting. The board wanted to honor Carpenter for being an outstanding high school student. She is a senior at Gatesville High School and is in the top 15% of her class. Carpenter has an outstanding singing voice and has performed during GHS baccalaureate and convocation. She is the daughter of Troy and Laura Carpenter.

Staff Spotlight

Toby Williams was recently placed in the “Staff Spotlight” at a recent school board meeting. The board wanted to thank Toby for his dedication and hard work. The maintenance department worked tirelessly during the summer months to help with the high school addition, the mold issue at the elementary and all of the normal summer maintenance and custodial work. As the head of the department, Toby had many stressful moments associated with these projects. Toby remains upbeat and has perseveres in all his endeavors.
