The 84th annual Gatesville Riding Club Rodeo will be July 29-31 at the Gatesville Riding Club Arena. Gates open at 6 p.m. and the rodeo starts at 7:30 p.m. each night.
The rodeo will feature all the normal rodeo events.
Registration is open to first-come, first-ride competitors with a limit of 10 per ride at 7:30 p.m. for junior barrels.
Opening night is Military Appreciation Night and will have the Fort Hood Calvary performing. Friday is Family Night and Women’s saddle bronc is the featured event.
Saturday concludes the three-day event with a full slate of events and a dance. Admission is $10 for adults. Kids six to 12 are admitted for $5. Five and under patrons get in free.
Military Night prices are $8 for adults and $4 for children.
The rodeo contractor is Champion Rodeo Company.
Other popular events for kids are mutton busting and a calf scramble.
