Gatesville Riding Club Rodeo to be held July 28-30

The 85th annual Gatesville Riding Club Rodeo will be held Thursday, July 28, through Saturday, July 30th at 7:30 p.m.

Every night events will include Mutton Bustin’, which will start at 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. It will be limited to 15 riders per night and there will be a $30 entry fee. There will also be a Calf Scramble, which does not require pre-registration.

To register for Junior Barrels, call 254-493-8954 on Monday, July 25th from 7-9 p.m.

Once again, the rodeo will have its “Bubble Balls and Bulls” event for the spectators to enjoy.

Thursday will be “Military Appreciation Night” with admission fees of $10 per adults and $5 for kids age 6-12. Military ID is required for discount admission.

Friday will have a “Back the Blue” theme, and those attending are encouraged to wear blue to support law enforcement officers. On Saturday, the rodeo will feature an appearance by the Fort Hood 1st Cavalry Horse Platoon.

Gates to the rodeo will open at 6 p.m. The arena is located on Veteran’s Memorial Drive in Gatesville.

Admission is $12 for adults and $7 for kids ages 6-12. Kids ages 5 and under get in free.
