20 GHS athletes earn all-district soccer honors

Gatesville High School’s soccer teams both had strong representation on the all-District 18-4A teams, with nine girls and 11 boys.

Those recognized are:

GIRLS

Rachel Conner, Defender MVP and first team; Barrett Boyd and Tasha Thoms, first team; Payton Armstrong, Mikayla Bryson and Andrea Ortiz, second team; Charlee Barron, Peyton Dooley and Bethany Penrod, honorable mention.

BOYS

Morgan Clary, Midfielder MVP; Jose Silva, Goalkeeper MVP; Hector Silva, Newcomer of the Year; Clary, J. Silva, H. Silva, Oswaldo Leon, Luis Macias and Enrique Rojas, first team; Angel Almendariz, Jack Armstrong and Damian Guerrero, second team; Abraham Almendariz and Jeffrey Tesar, honorable mention.
