Oglesby Junior High Tigers fall to Gustine

The Oglesby Junior High Tigers, lost their first game of the year on Sept. 29 to the Gustine Tigers, 49-32.

Both teams scored often, with Oglesby Tigers scoring first, but too many missed tackles led to the Gustine Tigers pulling away for the victory in the end.

The Oglesby Tigers was without Holdyn Goff, their starting running back and safety, who was sidelined with an injury.

The young Tigers played tough all night long, but just couldn’t stop the Gustine Tigers on defense.

For the OJHS offense:

• Aiden Oxford had his best game of the year tonight scoring four touchdown runs of 15,36,45,42 yards. Oxford also scored two extra point conversions. He had 15 carries, for 193 yards.

• Kayson Campbell, had 32 yard touchdown run, and seven carries for 61 yards.

• Couper Wulfkhule had one carry for nice 20-yard run and first down for the Tigers.

• Jayce Aarron had two carries for 11 yards.

• Blayze Fisher had one carry for four yards, and had 5 kickoffs.

Defensively for Oglesby:

• Abram Shaw led all tacklers with two solo tackles, five assists, two point after try interceptions and 1 knocked down point after attempt pass.

• Kayson Campbell had one solo tackle and five assists.

• Mason Marquez had one solo tackle and four assists.

• Javon Howard had one solo tackle, three assists.

• Jayce Aarron had one solo tackle and two assists.

• Ranger Dalton had two assists.

• Blayze Fisher had one assist.
