Man steals from county jail
James Lee Anderson, 32, of Gatesville, was sentenced for a multitude of crimes on Wednesday, Nov. 28, including burglarizing the Coryell County Jail after being booked on prior burglary charges.
Anderson was initially jailed in February on a long list of charges including bail jumping, failure to appear, unauthorized absence from a correctional facility, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, burglary of a habitation, violation of promise to appear, theft, disorderly conduct, driving with an invalid license and burglary of a building, all according to the Coryell County jail roster.
Anderson reportedly added another charge to the list in June, when he stole boxes of commissary cards at the Coryell County Jail and distributed them to fellow inmates.
