Local students inducted into Phi Theta Kappa honor society

 Eighty-one Temple College students were inducted this fall into Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the international honor society for students in two-year colleges.

The Gatesville students who were inducted include: Rachel Conner, Stefanie Fuller, Patricia Hickman, and Amber Lara.

Founded in 1918, Phi Theta Kappa recognizes academic achievement and provides opportunities for students to grow as scholars and leaders. The Temple College chapter of PTK, which is known as the Lambda Theta chapter, was chartered in 1960.

Temple College is a public, two-year college with teaching locations in Temple, Taylor and Hutto. The college offers more than 60 certificate and degree programs, as well as dual credit courses for high school students.
