Learning becomes adventure

To some, robotics may seem like a thing of the future. To select students at Gatesville High School, it’s just another day in the class of Kyle Lovejoy.

“I like trying out new things. I’ve never done anything like this before,” said robotics student Josh Bartlett.

Bartlett, along with his peers, spends his day writing code, building robots and fine-tuning the components that make the robots move and perform simple tasks.

“I want to be an electrical engineer so I thought this class would be very interesting,” explained student Wyatt Tackett.

“I did a robotics class in sixth grade at a different school and I loved it then,” added junior Jazmine Curtis. “I didn’t want to take art [this year] so I chose this as my elective!”
