Hillside Medical Lodge opens for visitation after year long lockdown
Hillside Medical Lodge reopens for visitation one year after the COVID-19 lock down began.
The nursing home has been closely following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for the health and safety of its residents since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This week, CMS released updated guidelines deeming it safe for nursing homes to open.
Hillside Medical Lodge residents and staff received the PfizerBioNTech COVID-19 vaccination earlier this year through the Pharmacy Partnership for Long term Care Program coordinated by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
