According to Coryell County Extension agent, Becky Coward, the children’s division is non-competitive, and everyone gets a blue ribbon.
The greased pig contest is held during the swine show at the fair. The pig scramblers each received a certificate to cash in for $100 towards the purchase of their first official CCYF project to show at the 2024 youth fair.
Participating this year were: Ashby Barnett, Bliss Buckner, Rylie Cooley, Elli Kinnear, Mia Varona, Elizabeth Whisenhunt, Mason Williams, and Charles Yarbrough.
Sponsors this year were Coryell County Commissioner Ryan Basham, Valet Cleaners, Kandi Luensmann with Front Porch Realty, Thomas & Deena Bone with Allen Ranch and B & B Cattle and Andy James with Front Porch Realty.
