Two Gatesville choir students recently competed in the Texas Music Educators Association Region 8, all-region auditions.
GHS senior, Addie Carpenter, not only made the all-region choir, but she will now advance to the pre-area round by placing third out of 64 altos.
GHS freshman, Memphis Wells, also made the all-region choir, and he will also advance to the pre-area by placing sixth out of 53 basses.
The students started this journey back in July by attending an all-state prep camp at Tarleton. They are on a quest to place in the TMEA All-State Choir in February.
