Fundraiser to be held for George
Gatesville community members are rallying to help one of their own facing a medical crisis and concerns about medical bills.
Jared Easley George, a Gatesville native and Texas Department of Criminal Justice correctional officer, is scheduled to have catastrophic jaw surgery next week, but his bigger worry is a looming health insurance gap and mounting medical bills.
George, 27, a former Hornets standout, had been employed at the Mountain View Unit as a correctional officer for eight months when he received news that would change his life.
