Farmers lend helping hand to Jonesboro widow

In small communities, it is often the case that your neighbors and friends have a way of coming together and supporting each other in a time of crisis. Such was the case recently in the Jonesboro community.

Barbara Dyer, who has resided in the Jonesboro community for over five decades, recently lost her son and her husband within two months of each other.

Bill and Barbara Dyer, who had been married for 55 years, had spent their married life farming approximately 800 acres of land with the help of their son, Bill Jr.

When her husband passed away in April, there remained the problem of getting the current wheat crop harvested and delivered.

That’s when the community stepped in to help.
