Easter closings

Businesses and governmental offices across Coryell County will join the rest of the nation on Friday, April 15, in celebration of Good Friday.

Closings in the immediate area include:

GOVERNMENT

The City of Gatesville and the City of Oglesby will be closed on Friday, April 15, and will reopen for regular business hours on Monday, April 18.

SCHOOLS

The Gatesville Independent School will be closed Friday, April 15. The district will reopen for normal hours on Monday, April 18.

Oglesby, Evant and Jonesboro School Districts will be closed on Friday, April 15, and will remain closed until Monday, April 18, when they will resume normal hours.

FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

BanCorp South will remain open on Friday, April 15 using regular office hours. The First National Banks of Gatesville, Evant and Oglesby will be closing at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 15, to observe Good Friday. The Educators Credit Union will remain open on Friday, April 15. Extraco Bank will close at noon on Friday, April 15 in observance of Good Friday.

LIBRARY

The Gatesville Public Library will be closed on Friday, April 15 and Saturday, April 16. The library will reopen for normal hours on Monday, April 18.

POST OFFICES

Gatesville and all area post offices will remain open on Friday, April 15.

NEWSPAPER

The Gatesville Messenger will be open on Friday, April 15, but will close at 1 p.m. The office will reopen on Monday, April 18, when they will resume normal business hours.
