Early voting kicks off in Texas, several key national, state, local seats on ballot

Early voting began Tuesday, for the Nov. 3 General Election.

Coryell County voters can participate in early voting on weekdays through Oct. 30 at the Gatesville Civic Center, located at 303 Veteran’s Memorial Loop, and in Copperas Cove at the Civic Center, located at 1206 W. Avenue B.

Early voting will be available 8 a.m.-5 p.m., on Oct. 14-16, 19, 21-23, 26 and 28-30, as well as 7 a.m.-7 p.m., Oct. 20 and 27. Mail-in ballots may be dropped off at the Gatesville Tax Office, 201 S. 7th Street in Gatesville.

Mail-in ballots can only be dropped off by the person who has completed the ballot. An accepted form of photo identification must be presented when dropping off a mail-in ballot. Accepted forms of identification include Texas Department of Public Safety-issued Texas driver license, Texas Election Identification Certificate, Texas personal identification card or Texas license to carry a handgun; a U.S. military identification with a photograph of the cardholder, a U.S. citizenship certificate containing a photo of the holder and a U.S. passport.
