Gatesville High School’s Preslea Edmond battled through a tough match to help lift the Hornet tennis team to a 10-9 victory over the Leander Glenn Grizzlies.
Steady play by Gatesville’s seniors, including Slone Early, has helped set the tone for the fall tennis season. The Hornets are scheduled to open district competition against Stephenville at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 8 in Gatesville.
