COVID-19 numbers up, benefits extended
Coryell County has surpassed 1,400 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and officials expect that number to continue to rise.
On Monday, the county reported 1,427 cases had been confirmed. Of those, 490 are active cases, 921 have recovered and 16 have died.
The most recent reported case in Gatesville was a female in her 50s whose status was confirmed on Dec. 3.
The latest confirmed cases reported on Dec. 7 were from Dec. 4 because of a lag in reporting and confirmation as the county reviews all reported cases to confirm the addresses are within Coryell County.
