Coryell County drops in state health ranking
Out of 242 Texas counties in 2018, Coryell County ranked as number 71 in overall health outcomes according to the County Health Rankings & Roadmaps program . In the year 2017, Coryell County ranked as number 55, while the county held the number 39 in 2016. Each year, this program, a collaboration between the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin, publishes data on healthrelated statistics for every county in the US.
The goals of the program are to provide a reliable source of local data to communities to help them identify opportunities to improve their health and engage local leaders in creating healthy and sustainable community changes.
