Coming Soon at the Gatesville Public Library

Library patrons are asked to place these events on their calendars so they do not miss out on the following library events:

Tuesday, March 15, 6 p.m. – Colors & Coffee Coloring Group for Adults. This growing artform is a relaxing and entertaining way for relieving stress and enjoying the company of others. This group is led by our resident expert Michelle Craycraft. All supplies are furnished, but feel free to bring your own supplies if you want to.

Monday, March 21, 3 p.m. – Fiber Arts for Everyone. The group explores knitting, crochet, cross stitch, nalebinding, quilting, weaving and other forms of fiber art. If you are experienced in your medium, just beginning, or want to learn, the public is invited to attend, work on projects together and share ideas and expertise.

Tuesday, March 22, 10 a.m. – Books Sandwiched in Book Club will be meeting. They will be reading and discussing “The 1619 Project: a new origin story” by Nikole Hannah-Jones. The New York Times Magazine reviewed the book by saying, “this collection of essays and historical vignettes includes some of the most outstanding journalists, thinkers, and scholars of American history and culture.”

Thursday, March 24, Noon until 3 p.m. – Vita Free Tax Assistance for Qualifying Individuals. Please visit the library website for more information.
