Community shocked, Police investigate after two Gatesville churches vandalized Wednesday
Gatesville Police responded to a report of vandalism/criminal mischief Wednesday at the Mount Calvary Church of God, located in the 100 block of N. 12th Street in Gatesville.
Officers learned that sometime from Tuesday evening to Wednesday morning, unknown suspects spray painted derogatory remarks to include a pentagram and the “Circle A,” which is a symbol of anarchy, on the face of the church, according to a Gatesville Police Department release from Lt. Cody Lee.
In addition to spray painting the church face, the suspects also threw a rock through a window of the Sweet Home Baptist Church, which is located across the street from Mount Calvary.
