CCSO joins effort to feed in hurricane-affected area
On Sunday, Coryell County law enforcement officials returned from the Rockport/Aransas Pass area of the Texas coast, following another stint of hurricane relief efforts. In addition to the Coryell County Sheriff’s Office, deputies from Lampasas,
Mills, Brown, Burnet and Bosque counties assisted with efforts. According to a press release from Sheriff Scott Williams, responders described the devastation as being akin to a “war zone.” During their time on the coast, officers cooked just over 100 pounds of meat and 300- 400 pounds of beans with trimmings.
