Barricaded man arrested by CCSO SWAT in Jonesboro

A man was jailed last week after barricading himself when deputies came to his residence to serve a felony warrant for family violence.

At approximately 6:31 p.m. on April 22, deputies from the Coryell County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve a felony warrant at 11525 N. State Hwy. 36 in Jonesboro.

The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Jonesboro resident Joshua Damon Jones, had a warrant for his arrest for Assault by Occlusion Family Violence.

When deputies made contact with Jones, he barricaded inside the residence and stated “if anyone came inside for him, there would be bloodshed,” according to a release from the Coryell County Sheriff’s Office.
