Ag Institute for teachers

Posted

Texas Farm Bureau will be sponsoring a Summer Ag Institute for K-12 teachers on June 13-16 in Waco. The program will allow teachers to incorporate what they learn about agriculture into their classrooms. Teachers will be participating in field experiences, interacting with agriculture and education experts, and taking home free lesson resources.

Teachers can get their hands dirty and at the same time gain real-life experiences and ideas about agriculture that can enrich classroom grades K-12—all through the Summer Agricultural Institute, a four-day professional development seminar.

Teachers will receive CPE hours and bring home exciting resources about agriculture to their students and colleagues, as well as a better understanding of where your food and fiber come from and the people who grow it.

Registration needs to be completed by May 18. The program will be limited to 50 teachers. For more information, visit https://texasfarmbureau.org/summer-ag-institute-signup-open-to-texas-teachers/
