Bell County Master Gardeners March events slated

The Bell County Master Gardeners Association recently announced their events schedule for the remainder of March. For those interested in gardening, the events held during the month are as follows:

Mar 16 

The Bell County Master Gardeners Association will host “Peaches and Plums” presented by Certified Master Gardener William “Bill” Walker, at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 16 at the BCMGA Learning Center, 1605 N. Main St., Belton. The seminar is free but limited to the first 50 people to sign up. Donations will be accepted to support continuing education opportunities in Bell County. Mar 25

The Bell County Master Gardeners Association will host a “Spring Plant Sale” on Saturday, March 25, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Bend of the River, 7915 S. General Bruce Dr., in Temple. There will be a wide variety of vegetables, herbs, annuals, perennials and more for you to choose from. Certified master gardeners will be on site to assist you and to answer your questions.

March 30

The Bell County Master Gardeners Association and the Harker Heights Activities Center will host “Texas Superstar Annuals,” presented by Certified Master Gardener Debbie Thompson, at 6 p.m. March 30, at the Harker Heights Activities Center, 400 Indian Trail in Harker Heights. The seminar is free but is limited to the first 70 people to sign up.  Registration opens on March 13 at 8 a.m.
