The Gatesville Independent School District will have summer sports camps to help teach fundamentals and techniques, learn Hornet schemes and terminology and have fun with friends and future teammates.
The camps are coached by Gatesville High School and Gatesville Junior High School coaches, assisted by GHS varsity athletes.
Camp forms are available at all GISD campuses and on the GISD Athletics website, www.gatesvilleathletics.com. Participants may register up to the first day of each camp.

The 2022 camps are:
* Football, May 23-25, from 7:30-10:30 a.m. for grades 1-6. Cost is $40.
* Baseball, May-31 through June 2. Times are determined by age groups and will be from 8:30-10:30 a.m. for grades 1-2; 10:30-1 p.m. for grades 3-5; and 1-3:30 p.m. for grades 6-9. Cost is $40.
* Girls basketball, May 31 through June 2, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. for grades 1-9. Cost is $40.
* Boys basketball, June 6-8. Times are determined by age groups and will be from 9 a.m. to noon for grades 1-6 and 1-4 p.m. for grades 7-9. Cost is $40.
* Softball, June 6-8. Times are determined by age groups and will be from 8-10 a.m. for grades 1-7 and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for grades 8-9. Cost is $40.
* Tennis, June 27-29 from 8-10 a.m. for grades 1-9.
* Volleyball, July 11-13 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. for grades 1-9. Cost is $40.
* Wrestling, July 11-15. Times are determined by age groups and will be from 8:30-9:30 a.m. for grades 1-6 and from 10-11 a.m. for grades 7-12. Cost is $40.
* Football, July 25-27, from 7:30-10:30 a.m. for grades 7-9.
Soccer camp will be on Sunday afternoons in September and October for grades 4-6. The time and cost will be determined later.
